a biggest tribute any doctor can pay to their mother is to be a doctor in a field that he/she is most interested in and strive to be the most efficient and caring doctor, yet have time for the family - for the parents, the spouse and the children.

therefore, a mother wants the best for her child, will be happy if that child is happy in whatever that they do, I guess.
