Eagerly awaits this show since dawn of 2009, but yet could not find time to watch it.

Reading everyone's review makes my mouth even more watery, as if I'm mouth-loaded with pilocarpine. Yes, pilocarpine is a medication to treat dry mouth.

• Getting the political essence from anti-obama scott... US exaggerating their military superiority...
• And not forgetting Bong bonking the movie for US army exaggeration, the geriaritric bots, Optimus sexy lips, and some lousy plots off and on, plus bonus free tickets for another kind of Transformer..

Before I get to what do I think of the movie, perhaps I wish to mark that day as the first time I went for cinema in SP. My experience wasn't that bad, but it was close. Yes, if you SPians choose to kill me for my honesty, so be it. I have no regrets.

First thing first, the GSC in SP has a phone. But I called more than 10times for 2days prior, but no answer. Not during office hours, not after office hours. Even as I was queuing up for the ticket and watching the ticket counter open wide and clear, I called but no answer. That defeat the purpose of putting up a phone number for the cinema. For what?

Second thing, the seats were small and dusty, plus the air-conditioners were working, but not catering sufficiently to the full house audience.

Lastly, the audience, of which I doesn't know their background (probably they're just desperate people not from SP who wanted to watch this show badly. on 2nd thought, probably they're locals), eat and talk along the movie as if their watching pirated DVD at home.

I noticed something rather odd that day when I lined up for the tix. Yes, normally, I got them fast and there wasn't any samples for a simple short observational cross-sectional study of people in the queue. There in the queue were secondary school children, in groups, some came with plain normal everyday go-to-tuition clothings, some came with clubbing attires, some I got not idea where their inspiration for apparels came from. Plus in betweens were young adults like me, and some older adults in groups, or with their family and children. Some children were definitely less than 13years old. I didn't study further whether these underaged were granted admission for this PG-13 movie. Major variation of people, all eyeing one movie. Transformers2.

Another thing that quite trouble me is I noted, at the back of the long queue was an exceptionally pretty girl with her boyfriend. The boyfriend initially left her and went straight up to the front counter to survey the availability of tix, just in case, tickets went out before their turn came. Then he came back, and the girl asked her bf to stand in the line, while she made way to the front and chatted up 2 secondary school boys with almost bald head. After 5 mins, she got 2 tix for herself and her bf and smiling left the queue. And the 2 boys, with their horny or perhaps naive looks, as they were passing me...

Boy1: you know her?
Boy2: i thought you know her?
Boy1: she's hot lar.
Boy2: Aiyo, why you didn't get her number?
Boy1: I thought I can get number from you, if you know her...
Boy2: Nevermind lar, where she go liao...

Maybe it's the modern world.
Or maybe I'm too conservative or geriatric.

Although no modesty was lost, but is it really okay to let your own gf used her beauty for a couple of tix?

After thinking in a much objective and logical point of view, this is like a win-win situation. The couple got tickets fast, and the boys got their daily or perhaps weekly dose of endorphin or hormonal surge.

Everyone's happy, except for the 30 people waiting in the queue.
OK, maybe I just sore that I couldn't jump queue...

What do I think of the movie?
I do not think Megan Fox's scene clicked much with the movie, and she was too sexy or portrayed too sexy for the whole deal.
Plots lack logic, but storyline doesn't leave my dearest with doubt and questions.
And without a doubt, this movie is to tell the world, don't mess with US Army, and probably to remind the poor in US that all this money used up for artillery and arms can actually be better spend in providing basic needs like food and shelter.
Overall, it's a good show, if you keep your expectation not too high...

I read the following in NST today

MEDICAL SERVICE: We need happy, healthy and alert housemen

ST, Kuala Lumpur

LAST week, I chanced upon a copy of the May 2009 issue of the medical fraternity's MMA News . The cover of the journal was titled "Government doctors -- modern-day slaves". I was pleasantly surprised to see an article on housemanship inside -- "Housemanship training in Malaysia" -- by the Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican.

This was, in fact, his keynote address at the First Seminar on Housemanship Training in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and Britain in Kuala Lumpur on April 25.

He revealed findings from a recent study on housemen in 28 government hospitals:

"Two-thirds of them (67.8 per cent) found housemanship training highly stressful and 53 per cent of them had sometimes thought of quitting because they could not cope with the stress.

"The highest level of stress was related to working hours and workload. Thirty to 40 per cent of them never had time for social or recreational activities. 21.8 per cent required counselling and 5.8 per cent needed treatment".
If more than half the medical interns had sometimes thought of quitting, and a quarter of them were in need of medical counselling or treatment, imagine how stressful their working conditions must be.

The health minister should take this study's findings seriously. There are not enough doctors in Malaysia, hence we cannot afford to lose them even before they have completed their housemanship.

The minister must have the doctors' best interests at heart and should take care of them. They should be healthy, happy and mentally alert to perform efficiently.

It is, therefore, only logical that there is an immediate revamp in our archaic, unhealthy and hazardous system of housemanship.

Only then can we, the rakyat, feel safe in the hands of government doctors.

After reading it, I immediately have a sudden urge to pee.

Probably I was thinking about the urinal below.

Forgive me, for putting up such a pic, if you're eating, drinking or consuming some stuff while reading this, probably you should stop multitasking.

Basically, for those females who never went to guy toilets before, those are urinal for people who pee while standing, not necessarily confine to the male gender.

Back then, there were scarcity of house officers, yet problems were minimal. They worked like hell during housemanship, but they are good or great consultants nowadays.

Now, I can see house officers jam-packed the whole department, yet a lot of stuff left undone. Some house officers were master of 'siam sai hong' (in hokkien for avoiding west wind). Their principle of work is the less you do, the less mistakes you'll do. Probably so, but you'll safely go through housemanship with zero knowledge and major bullshitting capabilities.

Okay, back to those lovely urinal...

What's the point of having squeaky clean, disinfected, shining urinal, but not functional at all?

What's the point of having healthy, happy and mentally alert but they're deficient in knowledge, attitude and moral values?

The ball shouldn't fall on the court of medical practitioners who work their asses off treating patient while educating the weaker house officer, but should be in the hands of those Board of something something or xx xx medical school to release these 'doctors' into the community.

A tired but knowledgeable house officers do mistakes sometimes,

But a healthy, happy and mentally alert but zero-knowledge house officers either

do mistakes all the time... or don't do anything at all...

A Universiti Teknologi Malaysia student was found dead in her campus dormitory after she had given birth to a baby boy. The baby, whose umbilical cord was still attached to his mother, was also dead.

The 26-year-old fourth-year student, who was unmarried, was found in her dormitory by a warden around 5pm on Monday.

In any maternal mortality review, the big question at the end of the line would be:

can this be avoided?

I remembered the warm up OGSM conference debate titled, "Should sex education be started in school?"

I believe the team 'for' wins hands down versus the 'against' team, not because of their dynamic delivery of the debate points, but because, there is a dire need for sex education.

I personally agreed with one of the debater which points out to us that even without sex education, we're exposed to a lot of informal sexual education or sexual 'terms' in our dailies. Politicians made headlines with sexual scandal. Politicians made headlines for being sued for sexual misconduct.

How do you expect curiosity to respond?

Do they bring the paper to their parents? to their teachers?

Or do they hold 'private' or 'privates' conference with their peers?

Personally, I believe sex education is not teaching our young ones (not that I'm old already), but I believe they should know the consequences and to respond appropriately. Even if they are pregnant, no matter how ashamed they are, no matter how much they think their conservative parents or community may not accept them,

no matter what,

no matter what,

she should learn to cherish life,

the life of the baby,

and the life of her own.

The only ace that the 'against' team had under their sleeves was the uncertainties of the commencement of sex education, at what age? who can teach? who can teach effectively?

The society must see beyond moral values and religious belief, beyond honor in family, beyond dignity among peers, the society must see life, and to cherish life.

Does it really matter if she's a dropout or not?

Do not shame her further, for her death is certainly a preventable one, preventable if deep down in her heart, she knew that no matter how grave is her mistakes, how shameful she maybe in our modern yet conservative society, she can find comfort in her parents or in her friends or in a community who truly understand and cherish - life.
